Product Description

Cefaclor Capsules USP 250 mg

Indications :

Upper respiratory tract infections (Otitis media, Pharyngitis and Tonsillitis)
Lower respiratory tract infections (pneumonia)
Urinary tract infections (pyelonephritis and cystitis)
Skin and skin structure infections
Billiary- tract infections
Intra-abdominal infections (peritonitis)

Dosage :

Adult : The usual adult dosage is 250-500 mg every 8 to 12 hours.

Severe infections : Larger doses may be needed. The maximum recommended dosage is 2 g/day, although doses of 4 g/day have been administered safely for 28 days.

Paediatric : Usual dose: 20 -40 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 8 to 12 hours OR 750 mg to
1.5 g every 8 hours.

Renally Impaired Patients :
